Prompt Muse respects user privacy. This extension is designed as a local-first browser tool.
Prompt Muse stores the following data in the user's browser:
API Keys are stored using Chrome local storage. Saved prompt thumbnails are stored locally using IndexedDB.
When the user chooses to analyze an image or generate content, Prompt Muse sends the selected image or prompt text to the model provider configured by the user, such as Alibaba Cloud DashScope, OpenAI, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
Prompt Muse does not send this data to a developer-operated server.
Prompt Muse does not provide cloud sync in version 1.0. Saved prompts and thumbnails remain in the user's local browser storage unless the user exports them manually.
Users can export their saved prompts and thumbnails into a local JSON backup file. Users can import a backup file later. Exported files are created and managed by the user.
Prompt Muse does not sell user data. Prompt Muse does not share user saved prompts, API Keys, or local collections with the developer.
